BETHPAGE (WABC) —
Prepare yourself to witness skilled pilots performing high-flying, jaw-dropping stunts this Memorial Day Weekend!
On May 28-29, the Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach will go daily from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The main attraction features the U.S. Navy Blue Angels return and new F-35 Lightning II Stealth Fighter. Additional performers include the Golden Knights, Breitling Jet Team, American Airpower Museum Warbirds and more.
“We are thrilled at another show stopping line-up for the 2016 Bethpage Airshow at Jones Beach,” said State Parks Commissioner Rose Harvey. “Thanks to Governor Cuomo’s historic commitment into state parks we continue to revitalize our parks and attract the very best entertainment which draws tens of millions each year.”
The United States Navy Blue Angels will be making their seventh appearance at the Bethpage Airshow at Jones Beach. Each performance the Blue Angels stunningly display the pride and professionalism of the United States Navy and Marine Corp. 2016 will feature the 70th anniversary of the Blue Angels.
Keep in mind this show has easily seen 200,000 people fill up the beach on a single day, so get there early! Jones Beach recommends bringing sunscreen, earplugs, cameras, bags, backpacks and coolers.
Kites are prohibited. These can easily distract the performers. No pets, unless it’s an aid for the handicapped.
