GREEN BAY — Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is known for throwing footballs with missile-like accuracy, but he took that to a new level Wednesday, showing up to the team’s annual “Welcome Back” luncheon in a full U.S. Navy Blue Angels pilot suit.
Fan favorite fullback John Kuhn also sported a pilot’s outfit.
The luncheon is an annual tradition started during Vince Lombardi’s tenure with the team, and in recent years members of the green and gold have had a lot of fun dressing for the occasion.
Last year, Rodgers and then-QB Matt Flynn dressed in what can only be described as stunning full-denim outfits. The year before that, it was all about the red, white, and blue.
The choice to wear U.S. Navy gear could be a stab at a connection to the San Francisco Bay Area, one of America’s largest ports and the host of Super Bowl 50 in February 2016.
Do Rodgers and Kuhn’s fashion choices portend another Super Bowl trip for Green Bay? That question will have to be answered on the field.
