Wings Over South Texas Air Show will roar high overhead at this years’ return to the Naval Air Station Kingsville.
The
base will open its gates to residents at 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday for
the free event. Air show flights begin at 11 a.m. each day. Guests will
amp up for adrenaline soaring performances by the Navy Blue Angels; sky
diving maneuvers by the Army Special Operations Command Black Daggers;
the rifle-slapping, boot-stomping routine by the U.S. Marine Corps
Silent Drill Team and more.
In celebration of the 102nd
anniversary of Kleberg County and the 74th anniversary of the base,
there also will be a Kids Zone, static displays, integrative video games
used by recruiters and first responders vehicles, according to the
website.
Guests can snap photos and get autographs with the Blue Angels pilots at a meet-and-greet event after the daily activities.
