More than 200,000 people are expected to attend the event, the first air show in Alcoa in 16 years. McGhee Tyson Airport Spokesperson Becky Huckaby says the airport had to stop hosting the air shows after 9/11 because of security changes and lack of resources but are now ready to have the show return.

The air show is free, but premiere parking passes for the show could be as much as $40. In celebration of the announcement of the aerial acts, parking passes are on sale for $29 until February 29. The event takes place April 16 and 17. A portion of the proceeds go to HonorAir Knoxville.
