|Blue Angels #7 refueling at Fargo Jet Center|
FARGO (KFGO-AM) – The skies over Fargo Moorhead
will be filled by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels later this week, headliners
for this weekend’s Fargo AirSho.
The first of the distinctive blue and yellow F-A 18 Hornets arrived
Monday. The rest of the squadron flies in Tuesday. The pilots will take
the day off before beginning several days of practice flights, getting
familiar with local air space.
The precision flying team was last here 2011. Two years ago, their appearance was cancelled because of federal cutbacks.
AirSho co-chairman Dick Walstad says Fargo has had a special relationship with the Blue Angels, going back decades.
Walstad expects 20,000 to 30,000 people to attend the AirSho Saturday and Sunday.
