Blue Angels in Lynchburg

The Blue Angels will return to Lynchburg in 2016. Here are some scenes from their previous visits and a taste of thrills to come.

Beasley hugs family and friends Wednesday after flying in a Blue Angels jet.  Beasley said afterward, pressing her face: “I feel like my cheeks are cemented, I was smiling so hard.”
An average person’s tolerance is four G’s, and Beasley announced that she and Tickle had reached five G’s.

The pilot, Lt. Dave Tickle, a native of Birmingham, Ala., is a U.S. Naval Academy graduate. He has more than 1,500 hours of flight experience.
