Blue Angels make winter visit, flyover

U.S. Navy Blue Angel will roar into South Texas.


NUECES COUNTY – The U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels will roar into the Coastal Bend today as part of their winter preparation for the Wings Over South Texas Air Show.

A pair of the distinctive blue and gold F-18 hornets will streak across the skies around 3 p.m. The flyover will feature the U.S. Navy’s premier demonstration team.If you keep an eye out, you might catch a glimpse of them doing some aerial acrobatics too.

If you miss the flyover, there is no need to worry. The entire Blue Angel Squadron will be back April 1-2, 2017 for the Wings Over South Texas Air Show at Naval Air Station-Corpus Christi.

The Wings Over South Texas Air Show will be the Blue Angels’ fourth shows of the 2017 season and the featured act will pay tribute to the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Midway.
