It is the day many attendees of the EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh have dreamed about; a chance to see the U.S. Navy Blue Angels performing during the afternoon airshow.
Dick Knapinski of EAA says they have had members of the Blue Angels at Oshkosh before, but never a full display during one of their airshows.
There will be an autograph opportunity at the Welcome Center at 1 p.m. and a 7 p.m. evening program at the Theater in the Woods. They will also perform during the 5 p.m. airshow on Saturday.
Knapinski says the Blue Angels will tell you they are the best jet team in the world, but the Thunderbirds will argue they are the best jet team in the world.
He says AirVenture is fortunate that they have had both teams perform over the years.
EAA officials say there will be a modified crowd line in force during the Friday and Saturday afternoon airshows to accommodate a larger crowd. (EAA AirVenture photo)[content-egg module=Amazon template=grid]
