Blue Angels to headline the 2015 Atlantic City Airshow

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will headline the Atlantic City Airshow, “Thunder Over the Boardwalk” on Weds, Sept. 2, 2015.
The squadron last made an appearance in 2006.
Look for demonstrations of aerobatic maneuvers in Diamond Formation
and Solos, where pilots make passes in speeds that nearly reach Mach 1.
Also appearing will be aerobatic pilot Andrew Wright, who will attempt a Guinness World Record
for most inverted flat spins during the show. The current record stands
at 81 turns. In the video below, Wright can be seen in a practice run
earlier this year doing 83 inverted flat spins, but does not count as
the record. In Atlantic City, Wright said he will attempt to do more
than 100 spins, which will take four minutes.

will be the U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team, Geico Skytypers
and the Raiders Aerobatic Demonstration Team. Also, the U.S. Air Force Heritage Flight will feature an F-22 Raptor together with a P-51D Mustang.

The air show’s acts are performed over the beach rather than an
airfield and have become a signature summer happening for the city.
Any spot on the beach or boardwalk should provide a good view.
Attendees are encouraged to bring binoculars and wear sunglasses.
Parking can be found through-out the city, ranging from $5 per vehicle to $20 for a jitney park and ride.
Wednesday, Sept. 2, 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. – beach and boardwalk, Atlantic City, NJ.
