The U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, The Blue Angels “Key Influencers” program, will honor Camarillo High School
head football coach Jack Willard with an orientation flight in an
FA-18D “Hornet” Wed., Sept. 23 at Naval Base Ventura County Point Mugu.
The Blue Angel Key Influencers flight honors a local resident who has
made a difference in helping to shape attitudes and opinions of youth
in their communities.
Willard graduated from Camarillo High in 1976 and from California Lutheran University with a degree in English and his teaching credential in 1981. He received his master’s in education from Azusa Pacific University.
The Blue Angels chose Willard for the following accomplishments: He’s
been an educator for 34 years in SoCal; he’s coached and taught at four
schools including Camarillo High School
for the past 25 years; he’s taught English for 28 years and has been a
member of the PE department at Camarillo for the past three years.
Willard is married, has three daughters and lives in Camarillo.
