The City of Pensacola and the Blue Angels Association are inviting the public to meet and chat with members of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels flight demonstration team, both past and present.

As part of their 70th anniversary season, the Blue Angels will be available to meet with the public at several casual conversational forums this year, the first of which is set for Monday, April 4.

Current team boss Cmdr. Ryan Bernacchi as well as current #5 pilot Ryan Chamberlain are scheduled to be at Monday’s event, along with public affairs officer Joe Hontz and former boss Cmdr. Bob Stumpf.

“We are proud to be called the Cradle of Naval Aviation and honored to be the home of the Blue Angels,” said Pensacola mayor Ashton Hayward in a release. “This is a great opportunity to meet the men and women of the Blue Angels team in a more casual environment.”

The first “Blues in the City” event will be held on Monday, April 4, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Sanders Beach-Corinne Jones Community Center, located at 913 South I Street in Pensacola. The forum will begin with introductions and background information on the team and then open up for questions.
