NASCC: U.S. Navy Blue Angels to fly over city

CORPUS CHRISTI – Be prepared to hear the roar of jets as the U.S. Navy Blue Angels announce they will make a winter visit.

Officials over at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi announced the U.S. Navy Blue Angels would visit on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017

It’s part of the preparation for Wings Over South Texas Air Show. That event takes place April 1-2, 2017, and will feature the U.S. Navy’s premier flight demonstration team.

As for the winter flyover, Blue Angel #7 and Pilot by Lt. Brandon Hempler and #8 Lt. Dave Steppe, will fly over Corpus
Christi at approximately 3:00 pm.

A press conference is planned for later in the day.

The Wings Over South Texas Air Show will take place the first weekend of April next year. The featured act of the show which will pay tribute to the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Midway, considered to be the turning point of World War II.
