NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. >> The 2017 New York Air Show at Stewart International Airport has been rescheduled for July 1-2 to accommodate the U.S. Navy Blue Angels as the show’s headliner.
The show originally was scheduled for Sept. 9-10.
Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus announced the new dates and banner performance group.
“The Blue Angels are considered one of the … top fighter [pilot] teams in the world. They definitely have my vote as the best around,” Neuhaus said. “It is going to be a major draw, a major celebration for being patriotic on the weekend of July Fourth, and you couldn’t ask for a better tourist attraction than the Blue Angels.”
The annual air show at Stewart is put on by B. Lilley Productions and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates the airport.
