Syracuse, N.Y. — The Syracuse Regional Airport Authority has
announced details on the sale of tickets to the 2016 Syracuse Air Show
featuring the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels on June 11 and 12.

Tickets will go on sale starting at 9 a.m. Monday, April 4. They can be purchased online at www.syracuseairshow.com/tickets/
and at any Wegmans locations until 3 p.m. June 12 for the “advance
sale” price. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate, but for the
higher “gate” price.

Here are the prices:

Adults (16 and older): Advance sale, $15; Gate, $20.
Children (ages 5 to 15): Advance sale, $10; Gate, $15.
Children 4 and under: free.

Parking will be free for the show.

The show will be held at Syracuse Hancock International Airport from 8
a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The first aerial demonstrations will start at
10:45 a.m. The Blue Angels will perform with their Boeing F/A-18 Hornet
jets and Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules transport plane at 3 p.m. each

It will be the first air show
at the airport since 2002 and the only time the Blue Angels will
perform in Upstate New York this year. Airport Executive Director
Christina Callahan said she expects the show to attract about 40,000
people each day.

Callahan is encouraging people to buy their tickets online to save
money and to create a quicker and smoother entrance to the show. Tickets
can be printed out at home and brought to the show, she said.

“We worked very hard to make sure this event is family friendly and
affordable,” she said. “Our ticket prices are some of the lowest you
will find and we’re happy to be able to provide free onsite parking.”

In addition to the Blue Angels, the show will feature many other
flying demonstrations, static aircraft displays and a demonstration by
the Army Golden Knights parachute team. A list of performers and displays is available at www.syracuseairshow.com and will be updated as more information becomes available.

Visitors may bring chairs to the show, but no coolers will be allowed.
