This year’s show continues today. Tickets for seats run $4 to $10 and
are available at the gate or online. There also is a free public
viewing area for those who don’t mind standing.
Flying starts around 10 a.m. and winds up with a 3 p.m. performance
by the Blue Angels, the Navy’s precision-flight demonstration team.
Spectators can bring umbrellas and folding chairs, but no outside food or drinks are allowed.
To accommodate the show, traffic in the area will be rerouted. London
Bridge Road will be closed between Central Drive and International
Parkway from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Signs will direct traffic to other routes.
This year’s show offers a long list of military and civilian
performers, including the Geico Skytypers, soloists in cutting-edge and
vintage aircraft, hang glider and parachutist performances, tactical
demonstrations of the Hornet and Super Hornet fighter jets, and local
squadrons showing off their colors and aircraft in a Fleet Flyby.
