ALCOA (WATE) – The Blue Angels are known for their F-18 fighter jets. The F-18’s much bigger brother is called Fat Albert and WATE 6 On Your Side Meteorologist Trent Magill got a front seat ride.
Fat Albert is a C-130. The C stands for Cargo. Friday’s cargo included four people who lost their lunch, and it’s all about the Gs.
“We pull zero Gs to two Gs meaning you go from being weightless to feeling two times your weight,” said Maj. Mark Montgomery.
Trent says he was prepared for the worst and even asked for a back up vomit bag in case one wasn’t enough.
From inside this huge plane, you have no idea which way you are facing. Some were buckled in and some were just floating around. The crew is extremely talented and safe and nobody got hurt.
