ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Parkgoers at Disney World got quite the sight as pilots of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels flew over the theme park.
The jets soared over Main Street U.S.A. above Magic Kingdom Thursday morning.
“It’s amazing. To see the world’s greatest pilots to fly over this, it’s a great opportunity that you’ll only get once in a lifetime,” a parkgoer said.
The Blue Angels performed similar flyovers for parkgoers in 2015. Six F/A-18 Hornet jets flew more than 250 mph down Main Street U.S.A. before the pilots executed a Delta Break Out maneuver over Cinderella’s Castle.
“If we can inspire someone to do great things by our aerial demonstrations, we’ve done a great job,” said Lt. Joe Hontz with the Blue Angels. “Disney and the military have a longstanding relationship and I can’t think of a better way to give back to Disney and the community than doing a flyover (above) the Magic Kingdom.”
