U.S. Navy Blue Angels to visit with students in Abbotsford

A team from the world-renowned US Navy Blue Angels is scheduled to fly-in to Abbotsford at today at 2 p.m. Pacific Time

They will be welcomed by students from the Abbotsford School District and airshow organizers in advance of their August 2018 performances at the Abbotsford International Airshow.

A Grade 5 class from Ten-Broeck Elementary School, as well as Aviation Career high-school students from the Abbotsford School District, along with the media will have an opportunity to ask the pilots questions.

The advance team and airshow organizers will also meet to review operational needs for the Blue Angel’s appearance at the 2018 Abbotsford International Airshow, set for Aug. 10 to 12.

The Blue Angels are the U.S. Navy’s elite aerobatic team. They last performed at Abbotsford in 2003. The Blue Angels’ No. 7 jet is anticipated to land and recover to the Cascade Aerospace hangar at Abbotsford International Airport at approximately 2 p.m., weather permitting.
