LINCOLN, Neb. — In a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, 1011’s Shelby Fenster had the chance to fly with a Blue Angel.

The Blue Angels will be in Lincoln for the Guardians of Freedom Air Show March 7 and 8.

Ahead of their arrival, Blue Angel Number 7 Lt. Tyler Davies took three lucky people for the ride of their life.

First up was Huskers Basketball Coach Tim Miles. Next, Lincoln Southwest Principal Mike Gillotti. Finally, First News Nebraska Anchor Shelby Fenster.

The roughly 45 minute flight included everything from barrel rolls, to an inverted flight and many more maneuvers the Blue Angels include in their routine.

Check out the video to go inside the cockpit with Shelby.
